Seiichi Kondo
Born in 1946. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1972. After serving as Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in the United States, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Director-General of the Economic Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Director-General of the OECD, Director-General of the Ministry of Public Relations and Cultural Exchange, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Delegation of UNESCO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Japanese Government of Japan, Until July 2008, he was commissioned by the Agency for Cultural Affairs (20th generation). He has written and published many papers, including “Minerva’s Pouting and Tomorrow’s Japan”, and “Diplomat A La Cult.”
