Koichiro Tomioka
He received the Gunzo New Humanities Award. His publications include Yasunari Kawabata: The Literature of the Makai, Archeology of Postwar Literature, Kanzo Uchimura, and Spiritual Adventure. He has continued to work consistently from the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa era, and is a rare bridge between conservative thought and literary literature. In his new book, “Yoshikichi Furui” and a talk with Yu Sato, “The History of Japan in Crisis: Deciphering the 150 Years of Modern Japan.”
