Hirokazu Hasegawa
Born in Nogata City, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1940 as the eldest son of Hasegawa Saizo, the founder of Hasegawa Butsugu Store (now Hasegawa), he joined Hasegawa Butsugu Store After graduating from university. In 1982, he assumed the position of President and Representative Director and Chairman in 2008. In 2014, he retired as advisor to the company. Since 2007, Hasegawa has held the Hasegawa Prize at Tokyo University of the Arts. While the number of engineers involved in cultural property restoration is decreasing, we are engaged in social activities to nurture excellent leaders in cultural property preservation.
