Born in Harbin, China in 1964. He came to Japan in 1987. Graduated from Ochanomizu Women’s University in 1995 with a major in geography. In 2007, he won the Bungakukai Rookie of the Year Award for “Wang Chan”. In 2008, she became the first writer not to speak Japanese to the Akutagawa Prize for “The Morning when Time Oozes.” Other works such as “Goldfish Life”, “Delicious China – Continent of “Acid Bitterness”,” “Shizuto”, and “Shin to Confucius — Chinese Historical Person Moon Dan-“, etc. Since 2009, he has also served as a visiting professor at Kanto Gakuin University.
